What we collect
Analytics. We count visits and clicks so we know which guides people use. This runs through Vercel Analytics and, when enabled, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and PostHog. We do not sell this data.
Email signups. If you join the newsletter or ask to hear about the shop, we store your email address and where on the site you signed up. Emails go out through Resend. Unsubscribe from any email, or write to us, and the address is removed.
Inquiry form. What you type in the work-with-me form is emailed to Abe and kept in his inbox. It is used to reply to you and for nothing else.
Shop orders. Orders and payments are processed by Shopify under its own privacy policy. We see your name, address and order so the maker can ship it. We never store card numbers.
Cookies
Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and PostHog set their own cookies or identifiers to count visits. Clarity also records scrolling and clicks on a page, with typed text masked, so we can see what is hard to use. The first time you visit, a notice asks about them. Say no and all three are switched off on this device and their cookies are cleared. Vercel Analytics counts page views without cookies and stays on. If you add something to the cart, one cookie remembers that cart for two weeks.
Links to other sites
Place pages link to restaurant websites, Instagram and Google Maps. Those sites have their own policies. Some product links may earn a commission; they are labeled.
Kids
The site is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

To see, change or delete anything we hold about you, email abe@halalfoodjunkie.com. We answer within a few days.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it.
