Is &pizza halal?

No halal claim

&pizza makes no halal claim. Its menu includes pepperoni, bacon and Italian sausage, though its allergen guide says all cheeses are made with non-animal rennet.

The longer answer

We found no halal statement or certifier on &pizza's menu or allergen guide (checked October 2026). The site has no general FAQ page that we could find.

The allergen guide lists the proteins as bacon, beef meatball, chicken, Italian sausage, pepperoni and a vegan sausage. Several signature pies combine them: the Maverick is topped with bacon, pepperoni and Italian sausage, and some of the knots and dippers contain bacon. &pizza does not describe its chicken or beef meatball as halal.

On cheese, the allergen guide states: "All of our cheeses are pasteurized and produced with non-animal rennet". The menu also has vegan pies made with vegan mozzarella, tofu and a plant-based Italian sausage.

What to check before you order

The vegan and cheese pies avoid the meat question. Ask the shop to change gloves and use a clean cutter, and check sides such as knots and dippers, because some versions include bacon.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
