Is BurgerFi halal?

Depends on the location

BurgerFi as a chain makes no halal claim. Two Orlando-area locations are listed as halal on a community directory, based on social media posts and staff word, not a certificate.

The longer answer

BurgerFi's FAQ (checked October 2026) does not mention halal. It describes the beef as "100% Natural American Angus beef" raised without steroids, antibiotics or growth hormones, which is a quality claim and says nothing about slaughter. The same FAQ says the onion rings are made with a beer batter.

Some individual restaurants are reported to serve halal meat. Zabihah, a community halal directory, lists a BurgerFi at 7730 Palm Parkway in Orlando, Florida as fully halal, citing a May 2026 Instagram caption and verbal assurance from staff. It lists the Winter Park, Florida restaurant as partially halal on the same kind of evidence, and that listing also shows a September 2026 customer review saying the Winter Park location is not halal.

These are community listings, not company statements, and neither names a certifier. We found no halal statement from BurgerFi corporate for its US restaurants.

What to check before you order

Call the exact location and ask whether the beef and chicken are halal, who certifies the supplier, and whether pork bacon is on the same grill. Ask about the beer-battered onion rings and shared fryers too.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
