Is Dairy Queen halal?

No halal claim

We found no halal claim from Dairy Queen for its US restaurants.

The longer answer

Dairy Queen's main US site blocked our requests in October 2026, so we could not read its FAQ directly. The company newsroom and the Texas Dairy Queen operators' site, which we could read, do not mention halal. Halal Monitoring Services' guide (updated September 2026) says HMS has not inspected or certified Dairy Queen and lists its status as not verified. We found no named certifier or documented halal location in the United States. Burgers, hot dogs and chicken strips should be treated as conventionally sourced, and some Blizzard mix-ins are candy products whose gelatin source would need checking.

What to check before you order

For food, there is no halal claim to check. For treats, ask to see the ingredient list for the specific mix-in and look at the gelatin line.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
