Is Donatos Pizza halal?
Donatos makes no halal claim. Its published ingredient list shows pork in the pepperoni, sausage, meatballs and bacon, and ham is also a standard topping.
The longer answer
Donatos publishes a full ingredient list on its Nutrition, Ingredients and Allergens page, which says the statements are up to date as of July 2026. The page does not mention halal, and we found no halal statement or certifier on it or on the Donatos home page (checked October 2026).
The ingredient list is specific about pork. The pepperoni is listed as "Pork, Beef, Salt, Spices", the Family Recipe Sausage begins with "Pork, Salt, Seasoning", the meatballs are "Beef, Pork, Water, Romano Cheese" and the bacon is pork. Ham is listed among the meat toppings too.
Chicken and ground beef are also offered, but Donatos does not describe them as halal. The same page explains that for a food allergy, staff will wash their hands, put on fresh gloves and use clean utensils while making your food.
What to check before you order
Order cheese or vegetable pizzas if you need halal meat, and note that the meatballs contain pork as well as beef. You can ask staff to change gloves and use clean utensils, as they do for allergy orders.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
