Is Hooters halal?
Hooters makes no halal claim for its US restaurants. Its FAQ does not mention halal, and the company says it cannot provide a complete ingredient list.
The longer answer
Hooters' FAQ page (checked October 2026) has no mention of halal or kosher food. We found no halal statement or certifier on the US menu pages either.
On ingredients, the FAQ says that because the menu keeps changing "it is impossible to provide a complete list", and it points guests to a nutritional information document instead. That means the company does not publish where its chicken comes from or how it is slaughtered.
The US menu includes pork: the appetizer page lists Loaded Tots "covered with bacon, cheese, sour cream and green onions", and the menu has a burger section pictured with a bacon and bleu cheese burger.
What to check before you order
The wings are not sold as halal, so there is nothing on the menu to rely on for meat. If you order seafood or sides, ask whether they share fryers with other items and whether bacon is added.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
