Is Houston TX Hot Chicken halal?
Houston TX Hot Chicken says its chicken is all-natural, never frozen and halal-certified. Its website does not name the certifier.
The longer answer
Houston TX Hot Chicken (HHC) states on its website (checked October 2026): "Our chicken is all-natural, never frozen and halal-certified." The statement appears on the home page as a description of the whole brand, not of selected restaurants.
We could not find the name of a certifying body or a posted certificate on the site. The site has no FAQ page that we could reach. The online menu we read lists chicken sandwiches, tenders, fries, waffles and sides, and we saw no pork, bacon or beer on it.
Because the company names no certifier, we list this as a company statement and not as an independently certified chain.
What to check before you order
Ask the restaurant which body certifies its chicken and whether a current certificate is posted. Ask about hand or machine slaughter if that matters to you.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
