Is Hummus Republic halal?

Depends on the location

Hummus Republic's homepage makes no halal claim. Community listings show individual franchises as halal on verbal staff assurance, so check your location.

The longer answer

Hummus Republic is a franchise chain. Its homepage (checked October 2026) does not mention halal, and it has no FAQ section that addresses the question. It links to a nutrition and allergen document and a contact page.

The community directory Zabihah lists a number of individual franchises. The entries we read, for Lawrence, Kansas (2000 W 31st St) and Morristown, New Jersey (66 South St), both say: "Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status." Both are marked fully halal with no alcohol, and both note that no additional evidence, such as a certificate, is on file.

So the halal information comes from staff at particular franchises, as recorded in a community listing. We found no company statement and no named certifier.

What to check before you order

Ask at your specific Hummus Republic whether its meats are halal, and whether the store can show a certificate or name its supplier.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
