Is Menchie's halal?
Menchie's makes no halal claim. It says its frozen yogurt flavors are kosher certified, but it publishes no ingredient lists for the candy toppings on its self-serve bar.
The longer answer
Menchie's FAQ (checked October 2026) does not mention halal or gelatin. On kosher, it says its frozen yogurt flavors are certified by Kosher Supervision of America or the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America, and adds that the certification applies to the sealed product. Of its cakes it says the "frozen yogurt, cake bases, icing, and image toppers are all Kosher. Most of our toppings are Kosher as well."
Kosher certification is not halal certification. The wording "most of our toppings" means some toppings are not kosher certified, and Menchie's nutrition page lists flavors only, with no ingredient lists for toppings such as candy.
The FAQ says sorbets are dairy free and that rotating plant-based flavors are available. We found no halal certification for Menchie's.
What to check before you order
The yogurt is the better documented part. At the toppings bar, treat marshmallows, gummies and other candy as unverified unless the store can show you the packaging.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
