Is MOD Pizza halal?

No halal claim

MOD Pizza makes no halal claim. Its own ingredient list shows pork in the pepperoni, Italian sausage, salami and Canadian bacon, all prepared on one serving line.

The longer answer

MOD Pizza's FAQ (checked October 2026) answers questions on allergens, gluten, vegan options and animal welfare. It does not mention halal, and we found no halal statement or certifier on MOD's FAQ, menu or allergen pages.

MOD publishes ingredients for each topping on its allergen page. The pepperoni is listed as "pork, beef, salt, spices", the mild Italian sausage starts with "Pork, water, spices", the salami is "pork, beef, sea salt" and the Canadian bacon is pork. Ground beef is listed as "beef, water, salt, pepper" and there is a spicy chicken sausage made from chicken, but MOD does not say either is halal.

On shared preparation, the FAQ says: "Since we prepare our food on one serving line, we cannot guarantee that any of our menu items are free of allergens or gluten". The FAQ also says the regular and gluten-friendly dough and the vegan cheese are dairy-free, and that vegetarians and vegans have options.

What to check before you order

The beef and chicken toppings carry no halal claim, so a cheese or veggie pizza is the cautious order. Tell the staff you avoid pork and ask for fresh gloves, because every topping is handled on the same line.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
