Is Mooyah halal?
Mooyah makes no halal claim for its US restaurants. Its FAQ describes Certified Angus Beef and canola oil for fries but does not mention halal, and bacon is a topping.
The longer answer
Mooyah's FAQ (checked October 2026) does not mention halal or kosher. On the beef it says: "Well, it's fresh, never-frozen 100% Certified Angus Beef Brand beef." That is a quality grade, not a slaughter standard. The FAQ says the fries are cooked in canola oil.
The build-your-own menu lists Certified Angus Beef, a Jennie-O turkey burger, a black bean veggie burger and a Hebrew National all-beef hot dog, with applewood smoked bacon among the extras.
Overseas franchises are different. In June 2024 The Peninsula newspaper in Qatar reported a statement from Mooyah Qatar that said "All beefs are Halal." That applies to Qatar only and not to US restaurants.
We found no halal statement or certifier for any US Mooyah.
What to check before you order
In the US, the beef and turkey carry no halal claim. If you choose the black bean burger, ask whether it is cooked on the same grill as the beef and bacon.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
