Is Mr. Broast halal?

Halal, per the brand

Mr. Broast says it serves 100% zabiha halal meat; its own site does not name a certifier.

The longer answer

Mr. Broast's site (checked October 2026) says: "We use and serve 100% Zabiha halal meat." It lists restaurants in Lombard, Aurora and Rosemont, Illinois. The site does not name a certifying body. Zabihah's listing for the Aurora location says it is certified by, or uses meat certified by, the Halal Food Standards Alliance of America (HFSAA); we could not confirm that on HFSAA's own directory, so the status rests on the brand's own statement.

What to check before you order

Ask the location to show its current halal certificate and check which body issued it.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
