Is Olive Garden halal?

No halal claim

Olive Garden makes no halal claim, but it does publish a chart showing which US menu items contain pork or alcohol.

The longer answer

We found no halal statement or certifier on Olive Garden's US website (checked October 2026).

Olive Garden publishes a "Pork and Alcohol Menu Information" chart for US restaurants. It defines pork as pork muscle meat, offal, fat (lard) and gelatin, marks each listed item yes or no for alcohol and for pork, and warns that if an item is not listed you should assume it contains pork and/or alcohol. Some items you might not expect are marked as containing alcohol, such as the Minestrone soup on the version we read.

The chart only covers pork and alcohol. It says nothing about how beef or chicken is slaughtered, and it notes that foods can come into contact with other ingredients during preparation.

What to check before you order

Ask for or download the current Pork and Alcohol chart before ordering, since recipes change. Meat dishes are not halal-certified even when they are pork-free and alcohol-free.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
