Is Papa Johns halal?

No halal claim

Papa Johns makes no halal claim in the US, and its US meat toppings include pork.

The longer answer

Papa Johns' US ingredient pages (checked October 2026) do not mention halal. The meat toppings list includes bacon and Canadian bacon made from pork.

Papa Johns franchises in some other countries advertise halal meat; the Zabihah directory, for instance, lists Papa John's restaurants in Azerbaijan with a management statement that their meats are halal. That has no bearing on US stores.

What to check before you order

Assume US meat toppings are not halal. For cheese or vegetable pizzas, check Papa Johns' ingredient and allergen pages and ask about shared cutters and ovens.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
