Is Papa Murphy's halal?
Papa Murphy's makes no halal claim for its US take and bake pizzas. Pepperoni, Italian sausage, salami, bacon and Canadian bacon are on the menu.
The longer answer
Papa Murphy's FAQ (checked October 2026) does not mention halal, and we found no halal statement or certifier on its FAQ or menu pages.
The FAQ does answer one question that matters for cheese pizzas. Asked whether the cheese contains animal rennet, it says: "The enzymes or rennet used in our cheese production is from a non-animal source." It also says the original, thin, pan and stuffed crusts are vegan, and that a dairy-free cheese and vegan toppings are available.
The specialty pizza menu lists pepperoni, Italian sausage, salami, bacon and Canadian bacon, along with grilled chicken and ground beef. Papa Murphy's does not describe any of its meats as halal. The US site links to separate sites for Canada and the United Arab Emirates. We did not check those, and anything stated there would not apply to US stores.
What to check before you order
Stick to cheese or vegetable pizzas if you need halal meat, and ask the store to use clean gloves and utensils, since the same counter handles pork toppings. Full ingredient lists are on the Nutrition page under each product.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
