Is Pei Wei halal?
Pei Wei makes no halal claim. Its company pages do not mention halal, and its menu includes Pork Egg Rolls next to its chicken, steak and shrimp dishes.
The longer answer
We read Pei Wei's Who We Are page and its nutritional information page (checked October 2026). Neither mentions halal. The company says it uses "whole cuts of protein and other premium ingredients" but gives no detail on sourcing or slaughter.
The nutrition page lists chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon and tofu dishes, and one pork item, Pork Egg Rolls. It gives nutrition figures but not full ingredient lists, so it does not show whether sauces contain cooking wine or similar ingredients.
We found no halal certification and no halal statement from Pei Wei.
What to check before you order
Treat the chicken and steak as not halal. If you order tofu or vegetable dishes, ask about shared woks and fryers and whether the sauce contains any alcohol.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
