Is Ruth's Chris Steak House halal?
Ruth's Chris Steak House makes no halal claim. Its FAQ describes its steaks as USDA Prime, corn-fed Midwestern beef and says nothing about halal slaughter.
The longer answer
Ruth's Chris has a detailed FAQ (checked October 2026) and it does not mention halal or kosher food. We found no halal statement or certifier on the company's site.
Asked where its steak comes from, the FAQ says the chain serves "USDA Prime beef supplied to us by nationally recognized premium beef suppliers" and describes the steaks as Prime or high cuts of Choice, corn-fed Midwestern beef. That is a statement about grade and quality. It does not name the suppliers or say anything about the method of slaughter.
Ruth's Chris restaurants have a bar and wine list, and location pages promote wine and bourbon pairing dinners. The FAQ points guests with allergies to an allergen guide.
What to check before you order
The steaks are not sold as halal. If you order seafood or vegetables, ask whether wine or other alcohol is used in the sauce and whether the dish is finished on the same broiler or with the same butter as the steaks.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
