Is Taco Cabana halal?
Taco Cabana makes no halal claim. Its nutritional guide says all products may contain trace animal ingredients, and the menu includes bacon, chorizo and margaritas.
The longer answer
Taco Cabana's nutritional guide and menu page (checked October 2026) do not mention halal. The guide states: "No products are certified as vegetarian and all products may contain trace amounts of ingredients from animals."
The guide marks some items as vegetarian, including the rice, black beans and flour tortillas. The refried beans are not marked vegetarian. The guide does not give ingredient lists, so we could not confirm what the refried beans are made with. It also flags several vegetarian items, such as chips, as cooked in a common fryer.
The menu includes bacon, chorizo and country sausage in breakfast tacos, carnitas and brisket, and alcoholic drinks including margaritas.
We found no halal statement or certifier for Taco Cabana.
What to check before you order
The fajita chicken, steak and ground beef carry no halal claim. If you want a meat-free order, choose black beans over refried and ask what the refried beans and the shared fryer contain.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
