Is Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe halal?

Depends on the location

Taziki's makes no chain-wide halal claim. Its Rochester Hills, Michigan page says that location offers halal chicken, so it depends on the restaurant.

The longer answer

We found no halal statement covering Taziki's as a whole. Its menu page and food philosophy page (checked October 2026) do not mention halal. The menu lists lamb, beef, chicken, turkey, shrimp and salmon dishes, and we saw no pork or bacon items on it.

One location does make a claim. The official page for the Rochester Hills, Michigan restaurant (3792 South Rochester Rd.) says: "The Rochester Hills location also offers Halal Chicken." The wording covers chicken only, not the lamb or beef, and we did not find the same line as a chain policy.

Separately, the community directory Zabihah lists the Birmingham, Alabama restaurant at 301 18th Street South on the basis of a verbal assurance from staff. That listing also notes alcohol is served and shows an issue report under review, so treat it as an unconfirmed community listing, not a company statement.

What to check before you order

Ask your specific Taziki's whether any of its meat is halal and which proteins that covers. At Rochester Hills the company's claim is for chicken only. Ask about alcohol too if that matters to you.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
