Is The Kebab Shop halal?

Some items or locations

The Kebab Shop lists halal meats by region and says it also serves non-halal meats.

The longer answer

The Kebab Shop's "Halal Options" sheet, linked from its home page (checked October 2026), lists halal meats by region. Bay Area, Dallas and Houston: chicken shawarma, grilled chicken and carved lamb beef. Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and Austin: carved lamb beef only. Florida: chicken shawarma and carved lamb beef, with Boynton Beach excluded for the lamb beef. The sheet says "we serve non-Halal meats" and that the halal certifications "are provided by third parties"; it tells customers to speak with the manager for details and does not name a certifier.

What to check before you order

Check the sheet for your region before ordering, and ask the manager to show the certificate for the meat you want.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
