Is Torchy's Tacos halal?

No halal claim

Torchy's Tacos makes no halal claim. Its menu does not mention halal and features pork carnitas, bacon, chorizo and a bacon bourbon marmalade.

The longer answer

Torchy's menu page (checked October 2026) does not mention halal. Pork runs through the menu: the Green Chile Pork taco is made with pork carnitas, The Hogfather combines carnitas and bacon, and the Hillbilly Queso is topped with chorizo.

Some chicken items also carry pork and alcohol ingredients. The Tipsy Chick taco and the Big Tipsy Bowl are served with a "bacon bourbon marmalade".

The menu gives allergen notes for each item but no full ingredient lists, and it says nothing about frying oil or shared equipment. We found no FAQ on the Torchy's site that addresses halal, and no halal statement or certifier.

What to check before you order

The chicken and beef carry no halal claim. If you order a vegetarian or seafood taco, read the description for bacon, chorizo or bourbon sauces and ask what shares the fryer and grill.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
