Is Walt Disney World halal?

The longer answer

Disney's Special Dietary Requests page (checked October 2026) states: "Kosher meals and halal meals are available at most table-service restaurants and should be reserved at least 24 hours in advance. Options are also available at select quick-service locations." To request one, Disney says to contact Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com, which sends a form to complete.

Disney is careful about what a halal meal means: "Halal meals vary by restaurant and are subject to availability. Meals may include halal-certified protein, a suitable seafood option or a plant-based entree." It adds that "even with advance notice, quick-service restaurants may not always have a halal protein available." The page does not name a halal certifier or supplier.

Disney lists locations that can prepare a halal meal without advance notice, subject to availability: Satu'li Canteen and Tusker House Restaurant at Animal Kingdom, ABC Commissary and Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant at Hollywood Studios, Le Cellier Steakhouse and Sunshine Seasons at EPCOT, and Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe and Tony's Town Square Restaurant at Magic Kingdom. It says Disney Resort hotel table-service and quick-service locations also have halal options, and warns that wait times may be longer.

The regular menus at these restaurants are not halal. The halal meal is a separate request.

What to check before you order

Email Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com before your trip and request halal at least 24 hours before each reservation. At the table, ask whether the meal is a halal-certified protein or a seafood or plant-based substitute, and how it is kept apart from the regular kitchen line.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
