Is Biscoff halal?

Halal, per the brand

Biscoff's US website says Biscoff cookies and Biscoff cookie butter are halal certified and tells shoppers to check the pack. It does not name the certifier.

The longer answer

The FAQ on Biscoff's US website (checked October 2026) asks "Are Biscoff products Halal certified?" and answers: "Biscoff cookies and Biscoff cookie butter are Halal certified. Please check the packaging for confirmation!"

The answer names the cookies and the cookie butter only. It does not name a certifying body, and it does not mention other Biscoff products such as sandwich cookies or ice cream. We did not confirm the claim on a certifier's own site.

The same FAQ says Biscoff Original Cookies and Cookie Butters are vegan, while some sandwich cookie flavors are not, and that kosher status varies by product.

What to check before you order

Look for a halal mark on the pack, as the company itself advises. Treat sandwich cookies, ice cream and other Biscoff-branded items as separate products that the statement does not cover.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
