Is Budweiser Zero halal?
Budweiser Zero carries no halal claim. Budweiser describes it as an alcohol free brew and lists alcohol by volume as 0, made from barley, rice, hops and water.
The longer answer
Budweiser's product page for Budweiser Zero (checked October 2026) lists "ALCOHOL 0 By volume" and describes the drink as "an alcohol free brew with the taste of Budweiser at only 50 calories and zero grams of sugar." The ingredients shown are barley, rice, hops and water.
The page says it is "made for beer drinkers who are looking to cut back on alcohol". It does not explain how the drink is made, so we could not confirm from Budweiser whether it is brewed and then de-alcoholized or made without fermentation.
We found no halal statement or certification for Budweiser Zero on the Budweiser pages we read. It is a beer-style product made by a beer company and sold under a beer brand name.
What to check before you order
Read the alcohol statement on the can itself. Whether a zero alcohol beer is acceptable is a question on which scholars differ, so the stated figure is the fact to take to whoever you follow.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
