Is Health-Ade Kombucha halal?
Health-Ade makes no halal claim. It says all kombucha has trace alcohol from fermentation and that its kombucha is under 0.5% alcohol by volume.
The longer answer
Health-Ade's FAQ (checked October 2026) says: "All kombucha has trace amounts of alcohol. Health-Ade kombucha is under 0.5% alcohol by volume so it's considered "non-alcoholic."" The FAQ does not describe any step to remove it.
A Health-Ade product page describes kombucha as fermented tea and lists what goes into every flavor: organic black and green tea, water, organic cane sugar, live kombucha cultures, acids from fermentation and added live cultures, blended with fruit juice. The FAQ also notes that fermentation continues slowly in the bottle, which is why it should stay refrigerated.
The FAQ does not mention halal, and we found no halal certification from Health-Ade.
What to check before you order
Keep it refrigerated, since the company says fermentation continues in the bottle. The under 0.5% figure is the maker's own, and views on trace alcohol from fermentation differ.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
