Is Milo halal?
We found no halal statement for Milo sold in the US. Nestle's Malaysian site shows a halal logo, and its Australian FAQ confirms only some Milo products as halal certified.
The longer answer
Milo is a Nestle drink made from malt barley, milk and cocoa, and Nestle runs separate Milo sites for different countries. We could not load a Nestle US page for Milo, so everything below comes from Nestle's overseas Milo sites and does not automatically apply to the tin on a US shelf.
Nestle's Milo Malaysia site (checked October 2026) displays a Halal logo next to the Nestle logo in its footer, including on the Milo Powder page. The page text does not name the certifier.
Nestle's Milo Australia FAQ answers "Is MILO Ready-to-drink Halal-certified?" with "Yes." For Milo 30% Less Added Sugar and Milo Plant Based Energy it says: "This product has not been included in our Halal certified evaluation. It may be halal suitable." The FAQ pages we read do not mention alcohol in any Milo product.
What to check before you order
Check the tin for a halal logo and the country of manufacture, since the answer differs by product and by country. If there is no halal mark on the pack, read the ingredient list.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
