Is Minute Maid halal?

No halal claim

Minute Maid makes no halal claim. Its orange juice lists only filtered water and concentrated orange juice, and its FAQ pages say nothing about halal.

The longer answer

Minute Maid's product page for its orange juices (checked October 2026) lists the ingredients of the original as "FILTERED WATER, PREMIUM CONCENTRATED ORANGE JUICE." Coca-Cola's FAQ on how the juice is made says oranges are squeezed, the juice is concentrated or chilled, orange oil and essence collected during juice making are blended back, and the juice is pasteurized.

The Minute Maid FAQ pages do not mention halal, and we found no halal certification for the brand in the US.

One detail from the same FAQ set: Coca-Cola says it removed the kosher claim from three Minute Maid juice box products (Mixed Berry, Fruit and Veggie Tropical Blend, Fruit and Veggie Watermelon Blend, 6 oz 8 packs) from February 2022 because it began "sourcing non-Kosher white grape juice". That is a kosher matter, but it shows that blends can differ from the plain orange juice.

What to check before you order

Plain orange juice is water and orange juice concentrate. For lemonades, punches and blends, read the ingredient list, since those add flavors, colors and other juices.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
