Is Moussy halal?

No halal claim

Moussy's own website calls it a non-alcoholic malt beverage but gives no alcohol percentage and makes no halal statement that we could find.

The longer answer

Moussy's website (checked October 2026) describes the drink this way: "Moussy is a Non-Alcoholic Malt Beverage originating from the mountains of Switzerland." It says brew masters "brew Moussy according to the original Swiss recipe" using barley malt and water, and that Moussy was the first non-alcoholic malt beverage introduced into the Middle East more than 30 years ago.

The site is very small. It does not give an alcohol percentage, does not say whether the drink is fermented and de-alcoholized or never fermented, and does not mention halal or any certifier. We found no halal certificate from the maker.

The site says Moussy is one of the biggest selling brands in the Middle East. Whether bottles carry a halal mark is something we could not verify from a company page.

What to check before you order

Read the bottle itself for the stated alcohol content and any halal mark, and note the country it was made in. The website does not answer either question.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
