Is Pepsi halal?

No halal claim

Pepsi makes no halal claim in the US; its FAQ does not mention halal, and Pepsi's UK site says its drinks hold no halal certification.

The longer answer

Pepsi's US FAQ and PepsiCo's US consumer help page for Pepsi (both checked October 2026) cover caffeine, sugar, aspartame and gluten and do not mention halal, kosher or alcohol. Pepsi's UK FAQ does address it: it says the company does not manufacture products specifically for halal or kosher diets, that the products "do not hold a recognised certification of conformity", and that it does not actively ask ingredient suppliers about halal suitability. The same UK page says the Pepsi range is non-alcoholic, that no alcohol is added, and that the range is suitable for vegetarians. Those UK statements are about UK products. We found no US halal certifier for Pepsi.

What to check before you order

US Pepsi carries no halal mark. Ingredients for each US product are listed at pepsicoproductfacts.com; the line to note is "natural flavor", which is not broken down.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
