Is Powerade halal?

No halal claim

Powerade makes no halal claim in the US. Its FAQ says it is kosher and gluten free, and the ingredient lists on its site show no gelatin or carmine.

The longer answer

Powerade's US FAQ (checked October 2026) does not mention halal. It answers "Is POWERADE kosher?" with "Yes" and "Is POWERADE gluten free?" with "Yes", and says ingredients and nutrition information are on each product's label.

The ingredient lists on Powerade's US product page all begin with water and high fructose corn syrup, followed by ingredients at less than 0.5 percent. Colors listed are synthetic dyes such as Red 40, Blue 1, Yellow 5 and Yellow 6, depending on the flavor. No gelatin or carmine appears in any flavor shown. Fruit Punch, Lemon Lime, Orange and Strawberry Lemonade list glycerol ester of rosin.

Powerade is a Coca-Cola Company brand. We found no halal certification for the US product on Powerade's site.

What to check before you order

There is no halal logo on US Powerade. Check the ingredient list on the bottle for the flavor you buy, and note that Powerade Zero and Power Water are separate recipes.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
