Is Rockstar Energy halal?

No halal claim

Rockstar makes no halal claim and says it is not kosher certified. Its FAQ says its ingredients contain no animal products, except Boom flavors, which contain dairy.

The longer answer

Rockstar Energy's FAQ (checked October 2026) has no halal question. On kosher it says: "Rockstar Energy is not Kosher certified at this time."

On animal ingredients, the FAQ says Rockstar does not make vegan label claims, but that "none of the ingredients or natural flavors contain animal products or by-products" other than the Boom flavors, which contain dairy. That is the company's own statement and is not a halal certification.

The ingredient list on Rockstar's product page for The Original is carbonated water, sugar, glucose syrup, citric acid, taurine, natural and artificial flavor, sodium citrate, caffeine, caramel color, glucuronolactone, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, inositol, L-carnitine, guarana seed extract, B vitamins, milk thistle extract, panax ginseng root extract and Yellow 5. No gelatin or carmine is listed. The page does not say separately where the taurine comes from.

What to check before you order

There is no halal logo on Rockstar in the US. Read the label of the exact flavor, as recipes differ across the range, and note that the company's "no animal products" statement excludes the dairy-based Boom flavors.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
