Is Torani halal?

Some items or locations

Torani's FAQ lists specific syrups, sauces and puree blends under its halal certification question, but not every flavor is on the list and no certifier is named.

The longer answer

Torani's FAQ (checked October 2026) has a Religious Certification section with the question "Are Torani products Halal certified?" The answer is a list of products and gives no certifier name, so we could not confirm who issues the certification.

The list covers many Original Syrups, including Vanilla, French Vanilla, Caramel, Classic Caramel, Salted Caramel, Classic Hazelnut, Coconut, Peppermint, Raspberry, Strawberry, Peach, Lavender, Irish Cream and White Chocolate. It also lists ten Sugar Free Syrups, about twenty Puremade Syrups, eight Puremade Zero Sugar Syrups, three Puremade Sauces (Caramel, Dark Chocolate, White Chocolate) and five Puree Blends.

Flavors that are not on the list should be treated as not covered. Separately, the FAQ says all Torani products are kosher certified. As an ingredient example, the Vanilla Syrup page lists pure cane sugar, water, natural flavors, citric acid, potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate.

What to check before you order

Match the exact flavor and product line against the list in Torani's FAQ, since Original, Sugar Free and Puremade versions of a flavor are listed separately. Ask the cafe which Torani line it uses.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
