Is Vitaminwater halal?
Vitaminwater makes no halal claim in the US. The ingredient lists on Coca-Cola's site show plant-based colors and no gelatin or carmine, and one flavor lists taurine.
The longer answer
Coca-Cola's US product pages for vitaminwater and vitaminwater zero sugar (checked October 2026) make no halal, kosher or vegan statement.
The regular line's ingredient lists start with reverse osmosis water and crystalline fructose, followed by small amounts of electrolytes, vitamins, flavoring and sweeteners. The zero sugar line uses stevia leaf extract. Colors are listed as fruit and vegetable juices, beta-carotene, or lycopene, depending on the flavor. No gelatin, carmine or cochineal appears in any flavor shown.
Power-C Dragonfruit lists taurine, in both the regular and zero sugar versions. The page does not state where the taurine comes from. The Focus and Energy flavors list guarana seed extract and caffeine, and a few flavors list glycerol ester of rosin and gum acacia.
We found no halal certification for US vitaminwater.
What to check before you order
Read the label for the exact flavor. If the source of taurine matters to you, note that Power-C Dragonfruit is the flavor that lists it and the company does not state its source on the product page.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
