Is Bubs halal?
Swedish candy maker Bubs says its whole range is vegan and free from gelatin, but it does not claim halal certification on its website.
The longer answer
Bubs, the Swedish maker of the foam and jelly candies sold in many US candy shops, says on its English website (checked October 2026): "Today, 100% of our range is vegan".
Its sustainability page adds: "All our candy is 100% vegan, free from gelatin, palm oil, and AZO dyes."
These are statements from the company's Swedish site about its range in general. We found no halal statement or halal certification on the Bubs pages we read, and we did not read ingredient lists for individual US packs. Candy sold loose in pick and mix bins can also be mixed with other brands that do use gelatin.
What to check before you order
Check that the pack is genuine Bubs and read the ingredient list. In pick and mix shops, ask which bins are Bubs, since neighboring candies may contain gelatin.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
