Is Built Bar halal?

No halal claim

Built Puff bars list both gelatin and collagen, and Built does not state the animal source on its product pages. Built makes no halal claim.

The longer answer

Built's website (checked October 2026) lists the Brownie Batter Puff and Coconut Puff as a "Premium Collagen Protein Blend (Partially Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate, Collagen)", glycerin, sugar, water, palm and palm kernel oil, cocoa, gelatin, natural flavors, cultured dextrose, nonfat milk and soy lecithin.

The Blue Razz Blast sour puff also lists collagen and gelatin, along with confectioners glaze. Gelatin and collagen are both animal products, and none of these pages says whether they come from beef, pork or another source. The glycerin source is not stated either.

The product pages make no halal or kosher statement. We did not find a FAQ on Built's site that addresses the question, and we found no halal certification for Built products.

What to check before you order

Every Built product we checked lists gelatin and collagen, so ask Built for the animal source before buying. Without a confirmed halal source, treat these the same way you would any unverified gelatin.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
