Is Cinnamon Toast Crunch halal?
Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal lists no gelatin, but General Mills makes no halal claim for it, and the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Treat Bars do list gelatin.
The longer answer
The ingredient list on the Cinnamon Toast Crunch website (checked October 2026) is whole grain wheat, sugar, rice flour, canola and/or sunflower oil, fructose, maltodextrin, dextrose, salt, cinnamon, trisodium phosphate, soy lecithin, caramel color and rosemary extract, plus BHT and added vitamins and minerals. No gelatin is listed. Vitamin D3 is among the added vitamins, and the source of the D3 is not stated.
The Treat Bars are different. Their official ingredient list includes gelatin, and the page does not say which animal it comes from.
The brand's FAQ page has no question about halal, gelatin or animal ingredients. We found no halal certification or halal statement from General Mills for this cereal.
What to check before you order
Read the ingredient list on the exact box, since flavors and spin-off products differ. Skip the Treat Bars and any variety listing gelatin unless a halal source is confirmed.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
