Is Clif Bar halal?
Clif Bars list plant-based ingredients and no gelatin in the products we checked, but Clif makes no halal claim on its site and the bars are not halal certified.
The longer answer
Clif's website (checked October 2026) lists the Chocolate Chip Clif Bar as organic rolled oats, organic brown rice syrup, soy rice crisps, organic roasted soybeans, organic tapioca syrup, organic cane syrup, unsweetened chocolate, chicory fiber, organic soy flour, sunflower and/or soybean oil, natural flavors, salt, organic cinnamon and mixed tocopherols. No gelatin or dairy ingredient is listed.
The Clif Builders Chocolate Peanut Butter bar lists soy protein, sugars, palm kernel oil, vegetable glycerin, peanuts, natural flavors and cocoa. Clif Bloks Strawberry chews are set with pectin, not gelatin.
The FAQ on Clif's site covers orders and subscriptions only and says nothing about halal. We found no halal certification for Clif products.
What to check before you order
Read the ingredient list on your flavor, as Clif sells many lines. "Natural flavors" are not broken down on the label, so ask Clif if that matters to you.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
