Is Combos halal?

No halal claim

Combos make no halal claim. The Pepperoni Pizza Cracker flavor lists beef fat, and every cheese filling lists enzymes without stating where they come from.

The longer answer

Combos are made by Mars. The official ingredient list for Pepperoni Pizza Cracker Combos (checked October 2026) includes "Beef Fat" along with a bakers and cheddar cheese blend (milk, cheese cultures, salt, enzymes) and natural and artificial flavors. Nothing on the page says the beef fat is from halal slaughter.

Cheddar Cheese Pretzel Combos list no meat ingredient. Their cheese blend is given as "Bakers, Cheddar, Parmesan And Romano [Milk, Cheese Cultures, Salt, Enzymes, Annatto]". The enzyme source is not stated.

The Combos help page answers questions on ingredients, GMOs and shelf life but says nothing about halal or kosher. We found no halal statement from Mars for Combos.

What to check before you order

Avoid the Pepperoni Pizza flavor if you do not eat non-halal beef fat, and check any other meat-style flavor for the same ingredient. For the cheese flavors, the enzyme source is the open question.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
