Is Emergen-C halal?
Emergen-C makes no halal claim. Its gummies are set with pectin and list no gelatin, while its Chewables contain fish gelatin.
The longer answer
Emergen-C's FAQ (checked October 2026) does not mention halal. For its Crystals product it answers "Yes" to whether it is vegetarian and "No" to whether it contains any animal byproducts.
The official label for Emergen-C Gummies (strawberry, lemon and blueberry) lists sugar, glucose syrup and water, then less than 2% of citric acid, fruit and vegetable juice concentrates, lemon oil, natural flavors, pectin, sodium citrate and turmeric. No gelatin is listed. The Kidz page describes its Fun-Tastic Fruit gummy as vegetarian.
The Chewables are different. The official Orange Blast label lists "Gelatin (fish)" and carries a fish allergen statement. We found no halal certification for any Emergen-C product.
What to check before you order
Read the other ingredients for the exact product. Gummies use pectin, Chewables use fish gelatin, and natural flavors are not broken down on the label.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
