Is Good Humor halal?

No halal claim

Good Humor makes no halal claim. The two bars we could check list no gelatin or alcohol, but we could not read the list for Strawberry Shortcake.

The longer answer

Good Humor's FAQ (archived copy from October 2025, read October 2026) does not mention halal. On kosher it says any kosher product "will have the designated symbol on the package" and that shoppers should check each pack because formulations change.

The Chocolate Eclair bar lists nonfat milk, water, cake crunch, corn syrup, a milk chocolate flavored coating, oils, whey, mono and diglycerides, gums, polysorbate 80, natural and artificial flavors and caramel color. The Candy Center Bar has a similar dairy base with hazelnuts and natural flavor. Neither lists gelatin, carmine or alcohol. The source of the mono and diglycerides is not stated.

We could not load a readable ingredient list for the Strawberry Shortcake or Cookies and Creme bars, so those are unverified. We found no halal certification claim from Good Humor.

What to check before you order

Read the ingredient list on the box, and check for a kosher symbol if that helps you. Mono and diglycerides and flavors are listed without a source.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
