Is Hubba Bubba halal?

No halal claim

Hubba Bubba Bubble Tape lists no gelatin, but the gum base and glycerol are not broken down and the brand makes no halal claim.

The longer answer

The Hubba Bubba website's page for Original Bubble Tape (checked October 2026) lists: sugar, gum base, corn syrup, glycerol, and less than 2% of corn starch, soy lecithin, natural and artificial flavors, acesulfame K, aspartame, BHT and colors (Red 40, Red 40 Lake). No gelatin is listed.

The label does not say what the gum base is made from or whether the glycerol is plant or animal derived. The Hubba Bubba FAQ does not address this. It says only that any ingredient added as part of the recipe will appear in the ingredient list on the packaging.

We found no halal statement or halal certification from Hubba Bubba or its maker Mars Wrigley for the US product.

What to check before you order

Read the ingredient list for the exact format, such as tape, chunk or soft chew. The source of the glycerol and gum base is not stated on the label.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
