Is Indomie halal?

Yes, certified

Indomie is made by Indofood in Indonesia, and the brand lists halal certification from LPPOM MUI, the Indonesian halal body.

The longer answer

Indomie's global site (checked October 2026) lists a Halal certification issued by LPPOM MUI, the halal assessment institute of the Indonesian Council of Ulama, among its certifications. LPPOM MUI published a clarification in December 2020 confirming an MUI halal decree for Indomie fried instant noodles from PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur. This is an Indonesian certification, not one from a US certifier. We did not find a separate US Indomie site, and US retailers such as Walmart list imported Indomie Mi Goreng as halal certified, so the halal mark on the pack is what confirms a given product. We did not verify certification for every flavor or for Indomie made outside Indonesia.

What to check before you order

Look for the halal logo printed on the pack and the country of manufacture. Packs made outside Indonesia may carry a different certifier's mark.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
