Is Kinder (Bueno and Joy) halal?

No halal claim

Kinder makes no halal claim on its US site; the US ingredient list for Kinder Joy shows no gelatin or alcohol.

The longer answer

The Kinder US product pages for Kinder Bueno and Kinder Joy (checked October 2026) do not mention halal. The Kinder Joy page lists sugar, vegetable oils, skim milk powder, wheat flour, cocoa, malt extract, lecithin, whey proteins, artificial flavors and leavening agents, with no gelatin or alcohol listed. The Kinder Bueno page lists milk chocolate, sugar, palm oil, wheat flour, hazelnuts and milk powders, with vanillin as an artificial flavor. Ferrero's US FAQ page does not mention halal either. We found no US halal certifier named by the brand.

What to check before you order

Read the ingredient list on the US pack and look for a halal mark; none is claimed on the US site. Imported Kinder products from other countries can have different recipes and labels.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
