Klondike makes no halal claim. The bars, sandwich and cone we checked list no gelatin or alcohol, but the mono and diglycerides and flavors are not sourced on the label.

Is Klondike halal? (checked October 2026)

The longer answer

Klondike's FAQ (archived copy from July 2026, read October 2026) does not mention halal. On kosher it says any kosher product "will have the designated symbol on the package" and tells shoppers to check each pack because formulations change. It also says Klondike bars "are made with eggs and dairy".

The Original bar lists nonfat milk, sugar, coconut oil, corn syrup, cream, corn syrup solids, whey, chocolate liquor processed with alkali, milk, soybean oil, cocoa, mono and diglycerides, locust bean gum, guar gum, natural and artificial flavor, soy lecithin, carrageenan, salt, caramel color and vitamin A palmitate. Chocolate liquor is ground cocoa, not alcohol.

We also read the lists for the Krunch, Heath and Reese's bars, the Mrs. Fields cookie sandwich and Nuts for Vanilla cones. None lists gelatin, carmine or alcohol. All list mono and diglycerides with no source stated. We found no halal certification claim from Klondike.

What to check before you order

Read the ingredient list on the pack you are buying, since Klondike says recipes change. Mono and diglycerides and "natural and artificial flavor" are not broken down.
