Is Krispy Kreme halal?
Krispy Kreme makes no halal claim in the US, though it says the only animal by-products in its everyday doughnuts are eggs and dairy.
The longer answer
Krispy Kreme's US FAQ (checked October 2026) does not mention halal.
The FAQ does say: "The animal by-products used in our everyday doughnuts are eggs and dairy products. Seasonal and Limited Time Only doughnuts may use other animal by products." It also says all of its doughnut ingredients are kosher, its mix plant in Winston-Salem is certified kosher, and that kosher certification of shops varies by location.
Kosher is not the same as halal, and none of this is a halal certification.
What to check before you order
For seasonal or limited-time doughnuts, open the "Nutrition and Allergen Info" for that product and look for gelatin or other animal-derived ingredients. Krispy Kreme shops outside the US are run by local operators; check their own halal statements.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
