Is Lucky Charms halal?
General Mills states that the gelatin in Lucky Charms marshmallow pieces is made from pork collagen.
The longer answer
General Mills' Ask General Mills help center (checked October 2026) answers the question about its marshmallow pieces this way: "The gelatin in our marshmallow marbit pieces is made from pork collagen." The same answer lists the cereals that contain these pieces as Lucky Charms, Chocolate Lucky Charms, Reduced Sugar Cocoa Puffs with marshmallows, Count Chocula, Boo Berry and Frankenberry. The help center shows the article as last modified on June 29, 2026. A search of the same help center for "halal" returned no articles.
What to check before you order
There is nothing to check on the box beyond the word gelatin; the maker says it is pork. The same applies to the other General Mills cereals with marshmallow pieces listed above.
