Is Maruchan halal?

No halal claim

Maruchan makes no halal claim, and its US ramen soup bases list meat ingredients such as beef fat and powdered cooked chicken.

The longer answer

Maruchan's US FAQ (checked October 2026) does not mention halal, and covers topics such as where the noodles are made, shelf life and palm oil. Maruchan's own ingredient lists show animal ingredients in the soup base: Beef Flavor ramen lists beef fat and Chicken Flavor ramen lists powdered cooked chicken. The site gives no information on how that meat is sourced or slaughtered, and the product menu also includes a Pork Flavor ramen. We found no US halal certifier for Maruchan.

What to check before you order

Read the soup base ingredients for beef fat, chicken, pork or other meat ingredients. There is no halal mark, and the brand does not claim halal meat sourcing.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
