Is Mentos halal?
Mentos says its US products are not certified halal; the US chewy mint ingredient lists we read show no gelatin.
The longer answer
The Mentos US FAQ (checked October 2026) says: "Mentos products are not presently certified for either Halal or Kosher diets." The US ingredient lists for the Mint roll and the Mixed Fruit roll show no gelatin; they use gellan gum, gum arabic, sucrose esters of fatty acids and carnauba wax. On gum, the FAQ says that if a product contains gelatin it is stated in the ingredient list on the pack. The brand does not state the source of the fatty acid esters or flavors. Recipes differ by country.
What to check before you order
Read the ingredient list on the roll or bottle for gelatin, and note there is no halal mark on US packs.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
