Is Nutella halal?
Nutella's US FAQ says Nutella & Go! Breadsticks and Nutella B-ready are halal certified; it makes no halal statement for the jar of spread.
The longer answer
Nutella's US FAQ (checked October 2026) says Nutella & Go! Breadsticks made in Brantford, Canada are "Kosher and Halal Certified", while Nutella & Go! Pretzel is listed as kosher certified only. The biscuits FAQ says Nutella B-ready is halal certified and kosher certified. The FAQ does not name the halal certifier. The US spread FAQ page has no halal question, and the main FAQ lists the spread's seven ingredients as sugar, palm oil, hazelnuts, skim milk powder, cocoa, soy lecithin and artificial vanillin. We did not find a halal statement for the US jar or for Nutella ice cream.
What to check before you order
Look for a halal mark on the pack of the specific product. For the jar, read the ingredient list, since the US site gives no halal statement for it.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
