Snacks, candy and pantry
Is Outshine halal?
Outshine makes no halal claim. Its fruit bars are mostly fruit, water and cane sugar with no gelatin listed, and the brand says all its frozen snacks are kosher OU-D.
The longer answer
Outshine's FAQ (checked October 2026) does not mention halal. It says all Outshine frozen snacks are "Kosher OU-D certified". It describes the fruit bars as plant-based, with some exceptions it lists by name, and notes they are made in a facility that also produces dairy products.
The SmartLabel ingredient page linked from Outshine's Strawberry Fruit Bars lists strawberries, water, cane sugar, lemon juice from concentrate, beet juice color, guar gum, carob bean gum, strawberry juice from concentrate, ascorbic acid, natural flavor and turmeric oleoresin color. Creamy Coconut lists skim milk, cane sugar, coconut cream, gums and natural flavor. The No Sugar Added strawberry, tangerine and raspberry pops add sorbitol, glycerin and sweeteners.
None of the three lists gelatin, carmine or alcohol. The red color comes from beet juice. The source of the natural flavor and the glycerin is not stated. We found no halal certification claim.
What to check before you order
Read the ingredient list for the flavor you are buying. Natural flavor is not broken down, and the no-sugar-added pops list glycerin without a source.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
